i want 2 step on my 8 but i havent seen anything posted up about it i have an ap can u get it through that? anything would be helpful

Launch control is only good if you have a turbo to build boost. Otherwise it's a waste of the tuners time. Cobb isn't going to make a launch control map from what they are saying.

For autocrossers who do pro solo as well as drag racers, a 2-step launch control can take the guess work out of the launch. Just set the launch rpms for the surface, get up to the line and focus solely on nailing the tree.

If one could safely run a 2-step on an 13B-MSP, I'd definitely get it.

Just hold your RPM steady and drop the clutch, I know what launch control is, it just seems unnecessary unless you have a turbo so you can build boost.

On a side note, the RX8 is not a drag car unless you've done some serious power adders to your ride.

they have a 2 step/wot shift box for a lot of applications.

 

It can be whatever you want, and I'm not saying don't do it. It's just not going to do very well. You want a car that's fast in a straight line with the RX8 your fighting an uphill battle. Good Luck.

 

i hear alot of my civic friends talking about this 2 step, when i asked them what that was they showed me all i saw/hear was a loud pop come from the exhaust

 

I remember reading about I believe an AP or some other tuning on the RX-8 for the 2step. And the results weren't pretty. It *honkey*ed up the 8.

stock RX8 drag car...wow.

 

on a soide noite, you can be as slow as you want to be. Go by a v6 camry. You would be a half second faster.

 

I had a WOT box on my Turbo TC, Wide Open Throttle Box, it controlled launch aka 2 step and flatshifting meaning you could shift without releasing the gas pedal because the box would delay for a split second to make the shift safely.....

I used it to build boost off the line and wide open shfiting.... mean fireballs
