Ill be doing this in the summer. Do any of you paint the pads as well ? Not the actualy brake pads but the thin metal thin that goes over the pad ?? Seen a few people paint that too. I would like to paint them too cause i hate how you can still see the pad if you only paint the caliper.

My interior has the tan leather inlays and I want to maybe go with a copper/goldish rim on my black 8 - I fould some really nice "Copper/goldish" caliper paint 900' resistant spray at canadian tire - what you guys think about that color?

MArkpoole69,

Have you proceeded with the copper/goldish rim finish yet? If so, lets see some pics!

Why would you go to all the trouble to mask off and spray them? I have been brush painting calipers with rustoleum for 20 years and 7 cars and it works great. 2 coats and don't drive it for 24 hours and you're done with no disassembly.

It was actually really easy to mask off... Thought it would be more time consuming than it was. Only took me around 30 minutes for all 4 calipers to mask off. I think they look good with my NG.
