Step one.
locate the Ground bolt somewhat underneath the Air Pump on the passenger side of the Engine Bay.
Use the 10mm socket and undo the bolt. take Wire ,marked in the picture,#1
#1 is the shortest Wire in this kit.
Use a supplied washer and fasten the ground wire to the ground point.

Step Two.
1.Find the passenger side ground point and use the 10mm socket and remove the bolt.
2 Take the end of wire #1 and an end of Wire #2, a washer, finally the bolt.
DO NOT place the washer between the two wire ends. It goes under the bolt head.

Step Three.
Take the ends of wire 2 and 3 and Find the ground point located infront of the Strut Brace. This will be another 10mm bolt. Just like before, Wire end , wire end and then washer and finally the Bolt.
DO NOT connect the ends of Wire 3 and 4 the the negitive Batt post.
Save This For LAST.

Step 4.
1. Connect the ends of Wires 4 and 5 to the front mounting bolt of the AC Compressor.
This is a 12mm bolt.
2. remove the Airbox. lossen the hose clamp and unplug the MAF connection.
Pull up and toward the front of the car to remove the Airbox.
This makes the process easier of getting to the bolt.

Final step.
1. Connect the loose end Of wire 5 to the ground point next to the master brake housing.
2. Use the Wire end, wire en then washer then bolt just like before.
3. Tighten it down with the 10mm socket.
4. NOW connect the ends Of wires 3 and 4 to the Batt.
5. re-install the Airbox.
6. Connect the MAF sensor.
Clean up any tools left in the engine bay and start up your 8.
There was a little confusion on the sequence of the Connection on the Neg Batt Post. Check out the added close up pic of the post.
Sorry for the confusion !

Thanks Goto Huff Of Vividracing for the use of His Shop.
When I purchased this kit I didn't expect a mesureable HP addition. I didn't buy it for that. However it DOES smooth out the throtle response and a little better gas mileage.

I looked up lineage grounding wires, and found prices from $79 - $200 for a set of wires.
How would that compare to something like this:

The main differences that I can see are the obvious ones:
-the Ebay kit most likely isn't a real MS kit but rather a knock off kit.
-The Ebay kit uses basic copper wire(nothing special printed about materials used or size) while the Lineag kit uses oxygen free 4 gauge 1862 strand copper cable.
-The Ebay kit routs all grounds back to Neg battery termainal while the Lineage kit makes up more of a chain of grounds that makes a circut of conections w/o routing everything back to the neg terminal. If there were a major spike in voltage it gets dispursed through the "chain" of grounds, not all back through the battery.
-The company Lineage was founded by a few of Rockford Fozgate engineers who happen to be car buffs and decicded that they needed a better grounding system for thier larger stereos, amps, etc. So that holds some clout in itself.
-Lastely, as far as we know it is the only grounding kit with proven dyno resluts right in the directions. An average of 3-5 H/P.

Negative Battery Terminal Question
09factor, I installed my Lineage wires tonight, but I simply could not get a washer above the wires installed on the negative battery terminal. There was simply not enough bolt sticking up for the nut to grab hold. Will operating the system with this one washer missing hurt anything? All the other points have washers on them.
PS: Man was that AC Compressor bolt was a bit#&. I had the airbox out, but bending over to get at it nailed my back, and then there was not enough room for my wrench, but I managed with a few choice words uttered.

Missing that one washer on top of the Neg Batt. post won't make a diffrence.
I'll look at mine on Sat and post an additional pic for you for reference.
As for the AC bolt.....LOL I had problems the first time getting that bolt out too.
I removed it for the ground straps that the Nology wire uses.
I forgot that it was a PITA.
Let us know what improvements you see in the idle, mileage, ect.

Thanks, I figured it would be OK. I'm out of town for a week, so I won't be able to check on improvments until I get back. I followed your DIY and it really made this easy thanks.
There is a photo of part of the install here:

I was looking throught the Garage and saw the pic of the grounding wire.
I was wondering whose it was. It matches very well with the Ti color of the car.

Two questions:
1. Do you have any additional info on gains (mpg, etc)?
2. Looking under the hood in the locations you mounted the grounds, there are ground cables already in these locations. Do the lineage grounding cables go on top of these?
I've never replaced the grounding wires before, and I don't want to screw anything up.

THe additional gains are mainly seen in smoother acceleration and power delivery, more stable idle, and a few h/p. The Lineage kit follows the stock grounding points/locations and are intsalled right on top of them. It's a very easy install and you don't need a rocket science degree to do it. I could give a kit to a primate and he'd eventually figure it out. You'll be fine and won't mess anything up. If you have any questions just ask myself or 09Factor.

What is the benefit of leaving the stock ground wires in place AND adding these? Inmy experience with past cars, kits like these were intended to REPLACE the factory ground wires in favor of a more heavy duty ground wire.
I just dont understand how having 2 wires at each connection is going to make a bit of difference. Again, not trying to sound stupid, Ive just never heard of adding more ground wires overtop the factory ones
