Uh...you mean the actual seat fabric or the hard plastic base?
If you mean the actual seat fabric I would not suggest it. The stuff they use for seats are much thicker than cloth thickness. It would shift all over the place and look wrinkly, I don't think it's a good idea.

It could be done, the wrap is only $35 and is quite strong so give it a shot and I want to see a DIY if you pull it off! Even with initial cuts when using a razor, unless it cut through it was very tough to pull apart when creating the patterns.

Maybe there is some irony there...that same actor who does those TTT commercials is the same one who does the voice for Cole "train" from the game Gears of War and does his famous Woooo there as well.....
I actually ordered it awhile back when i saw you post yours i said..........its time. Its neffy. I actually have about 3 yards of real cf also from a previous project but for the interior i like the dry carbon look +1 for neffywrap its easy to work with very forgiving It took 30 mins.....
Another thread jack lol.... I wonder how this stuff will hold up... 3m super 77 does a good job i did m door cards awhile back when i had my bubble civic i did my door cards with red fabric and during the summer the heat cause a small area to seperate.........im not sure if it was 77 that i used but we will see.

I have yet to get some on mine for this summer, which I intend to. I plan on updating the thread at the end of the fall to relay how it it held up.
Here's the window switch covers. It looks AWESOME in the car - and I was really blown away at how much this does look like real carbon fiber. I've worked with raw twill-weave carbon fiber before and as far as appearance this has just about all of the same properties. You'd be hard pressed to find a visual difference.
It's a good thing the 3M adhesive and fabric is so forgiving, I would've definitely screwed this up big time if I couldn't smooth things out and have a little time to work with it. Also - extra fabric to wrap around the edges is good, too much is not! Here's some crappy cell pics. I'll get some better ones tomorrow with my camera.

If all goes as planned i'm going to be doing this tonight. Not doing the shift ring, but I will be doing the switch covers on the doors.
