still squeaking really loud
So I have greased everything possible near the clutch on the inside and yet it is still squeaky. In fact it is squeaking and becoming harder and harder to push in, and the noise is actually louder under the hood, alot louder under the hood then in the car. Ideas?

Haha, I guess, that makes sense yeah. I just hate the awkward position you put yourself into when even looking at the pedal.
I'll get this done for sure, especially since I just put in my new Spec clutch. God it's different, but I can still feel side to side wobble. Pressure is a LOT lighter compared to the stock piece, but I'll be putting in my ss clutch line soon, better get that pedal ready I suppose.

Holy hell, haven't even known anyone posted in here since last time (haven't been getting any notifications). Soon I will be getting a bracket just to be on the safe side, but I have no idea if my brackets gonna be junk soon since the spring is starting to slice through the bracket. I hope everyone else catches it before it starts to tear.

I'm beginning to get a creaking noise when I push down on the clutch.
Did some research and read up on the bracket coming loose and breaking apart at the bolt, I want to make sure, the failure point in the bracket is where the 90degree connection happens with the firewall, correct?
I've inspected the bracket assembly visually and see no signs of weakening. Investigating further I see movement in the little light blue plastic ring between the spring and the bracket, the movement corresponds to the creaking I'm hearing everytime I press the clutch pedal.
Is there another way to fix/replace this plastic bushing? It seems to be coming loose on the side furthest away from the brake pedal.
Can someone post a pic of the method described below?
A plastic bushing use to separate a spring and two very thin plates of metal isn't a very smart choice by Mazda is it?

Here is a picture of the little plastic bushing breaking from the pressure of the clutch pedal spring. It will begin to 'carve' the metal surrounding the spring. The simplest way to fix this is to weld a 14/ steel washer to the inside of the spring on both sides. It will not get through that. Make sure to grease it well because if not it will squeak.

I'd weld it until you can get a bracket for safety reason's, and use the washer method for the spring and have someone weld it on if you can't do it yourself. Remember, you might not be able to see anything sometimes, but if it's a fracture line it will be hard to see even if your looking at it close. I wish someone would just redesign the whole assembly, since mazda and the gov aren't going to probably do anything.

So anyone around to help me out with a tip or two? I am attempting to take out my clutch assembly, and have removed the 3 metal nuts and 1 plastic nut. However, the nut behind the wrenchs can't seem to actually remove the assembly from the firewall.
I am yanking it, wiggling it, finessing it, pleading, cursing, insulting, praying, and it won't move more than ~1/4in off the firewall. It's acting like I have a nut that I missed, but got all 4 that everyone shows in the pics, instructions, etc...
It seems like it might be hanging up on the threading of the bolt that the plastic nut goes onto, since it pivots around that bolt a bit.
Hoping someone has a tip on this. Going back out to try conjoling it...
Edit:
Conjoling worked!

Just to add to this DIY, be careful not to drop one of the nuts back behind the footrest on the left side of the floor board. Its just 2 more nuts to undo and replace. :\

If it's broken you'll have to use a deep well socket, and extension so you can try using the socket like a finger to push the broken part away from the nut, or you can try using something else to move it away until you get the nut off.

Where the grey plunger is, and also where the metal tab with the green button that meets the grey plunger. Don't mind the arrows.
