dont worry you don't need to justify buying that to me, i'd buy anything that autoexe makes. autoexe could hand me its own **** with an autoexe logo on it and id pay 50 bucks for it probably.

expo1,

I just wanted to say thanks for the thread... I just bought a knock off AutoEXE by Mazdatrix and just installed the back portion of the brace kit.

I didn't have a lift (all my friends are being used) so I decided to try this morning using jack stands.

Couple of pointers I should make.. The knock off AutoEXE kit fitted every well. Only issue I had was after removing the rear suspension arm bolt, I had a difficult time putting it back in. After studying the arm, I realized it was due to the wheel hanging. So, I used another jack stand (RX7 OEM stand) and raised the wheel.... As I raised it up, the suspension bushing lined up and I was able to slide the bolt thru. I just wanted to give this info just in case someone else had issue with this install.. After that, Everything went on great.. Next weekend, I'm going to install the front half of the kit

Do you know the weight of the mazdatrix knock off? If not how about the shipping weight?

Not bad at all.. I say maybe 20-25lbs for all 4 pieces?

I just drove it and I could tell a bit difference just with the center and the rears. I haven't put the front brace on yet.. Its just too damn hot outside and I can't pull my 7 out of the garage.

know this is an old write up but im getting ready to do something similar, glad to see that these work out well. I have the same idea you do really, change the ride without having to change the suspension.

I have to paint mine blue though..... I cant have it be red.... hopefully a biunch of coats will do it well for awhile.

Looking into getting your brace powder coated, it will look better longer.

finally got mine installed. I think the worst thing we ran into was one corner of the center piece didn't want to line up with holes once the side rear piece was on loosely. Whoever suggested that you jack up the suspension a bit to get that back bolts in I must thank you a bunch, made getting those 2 bolts in/out SO much easier.

ok reviving an old thread. I just had the chance to install my used Autoexe member brace this weekend in conjunction with the BHR resonated midpipe. Overall everything installed just fine. Getting the bolts out and back in at the link rod in the back was a real beotch. I had to lift the tire and compress the suspension until the tie end lined up perfectly with the holes. The issue I ran into after installing was that the squared middle brace that goes in the back was hitting the frame and midpipe at the front most mount holes. Expo I'm not sure if you ran into this issue or not. What I ended up doing was putting four 1/8 washers in between the brace and the chassis to lower it slightly and avoid contact with the pipe and frame. Do you think this is a legitimate fix? Will this cause issues with front of the box brace not resting flat against the chassis? Thanks for your advice.

I recently installed a RB resonated midpipe and had no issues with clearance. So long as the washers you used were Stainless Steel I see no issues with your fix.

I had the same issue with my turboxs pipe. I used a 2"by 1" piece of aluminum with a hole drilled threw it. No problems for the last 18 months.

I think I will ditch the washers and get a piece of aluminum like Highway8 did. That way the pressure is fully pressed against the frame rather than the two little washers. Thanks for your advice. Btw Expo, can I see some pictures of the rear most fastener for the front brace? I bought mine used and currently I have the front installed with the three bolts from the factory front brace. The rear is just sitting flush against the frame. I could use some help in fabricating a mount for the rear holes. Thanks

Question for you S1 guys - I've installed the AutoExe brace set last weekend, however on my S2 there weren't any holes for the rear bolt openings of the front brace where one is supposed to use the AutoExe provided bolts with the L-bracket. Does the S1 have those those two holes in the chassis or did you need to drill them out?

Sorry for the old bump, but had a question for S2 owners that have installed the brace set.

Has anyone successfully installed it on a S2 car? In particular how is fitment with the oil pan sump guard?
