For twisty roads, you don't need any mods! :D

For a straight line drag race, maybe some of the other kind members here can help.

You would need an entirely new motor to even catch up to a Mustang 2005....

Wrong car you bought if you wanted to "race" other cars... You should have bought the WRX STi or the EVO 8 for an import racer... or could have just bought the Mustang. Apperently you didn't care much for handling or comfort of the ride.

You are talking about modding this car pretty heavily. You would need a turbo, A/F management computer w/aux input for turbo, high output fuel pump, headers/catback/high-flow cat/exhaust, CAI, and an intercooler wouldn't hurt. You could also shoot NOS. There are other considerations and brake/suspension upgrades to think of. Can it be done, HELL YAH. All for the right price of course. It's all money baby.

Canzoomers ecu mod seems to be adding this kind of power for the 6 speeds. It's priced pretty good too! $750(usd) I have heard nothing but good about it and am planning on getting one soon just for fun. Still, to outrun a gt will take skill and probably a little more money. But, Iwould have one had my ac compressor not gotten trashed by a rock. No, they're not covered, even if the car is less than a month old.

Actually, now that I think about it. My friend owns a 2004 GT that i think of as stock. It does however have a new magnaflow exhaust, drop-in K&N, and performance chip in it. So my assumption was given a little too quick. It will probably hold its own, but the CZ Stage 1 is giving the car the numbers that you are looking for, and with a new exhaust and intake you will kill them.

i think you would need,
cz stage1 chip, cold air intake, headers, midpipe or high flow catsexhaust, proformance clutch( to shift faster)
thats pretty basic for people if you still think thats not enough get a cz stage2 chip, if your still not convinced theres always a turbo system (anywhere from 20-60%hp increase)
....well that should take care of the average car

Just a reminder the CZ stage 1 is selling for $600 USD now. It will get you pretty close to the performance you are looking for.

Thanks for the update on the price. I haven't been in touch with Maurice for a month, so I'm out of the loop.

A Stage 1 should definitely be enough to run with an '03 GT. Obviously, going after the Cobra is where it will take a hefty investment.
