From what I've heard, an AFE Short Shifter, or a light weight flywheel. These give the most bang for your buck. My choice would probably be an exhaust just because I love that sound, and add in a high flow cat and it should give you a little.

Extraordinary Engineering
I want to do suspension, brakes and FI.
The order I'd go would be AFE SS, suspension, exhaust, brakes then FI
The exhaust doesn't make enough difference to be ahead of suspension.

I suppose it depends on what you are trying to accomplish, and what you personally feel are the deficiencies of the car in stock form.
For me, it was too quiet for a sports car, so I bought an exhaust first.
After that I bought some wheels/tires and springs. Really improves the look (event though the stock wheels aren't bad), and handling.
After I put the new wheels on, the rusty hubs of the factory rotors were unbearable (and my 27k mile rotors were slightly warped), so I bought new rotors and pads.
Now I'm about to put in a K&N panel filter and remove the VFAD and airbox baffles (cheap/broke man's intake), looking for a little more intake sound to balance out the exhaust sound.
Don't know what'll be next, there is plenty that I would like to do, but I'm about to get married, and the car pimpin' funds are being re-directed.
That's just my course of mod, it all depends on your preferences/priorities/opinions. Just do what you like, and have fun!

exhaust....
you never simply get used to it and forget its there..every change in throttle application reminds you...it greatly adds to driving pleasure every second the car is on
