What is the purpose of the grounding strap

On the exhaust system? I see Borla has a spot on the exhaust where you can put it on their exhaust and I purchased the Greddy SP2 and it does not have a spot to attach it to. Do we need it? Anyone else witht the Greddy leave the grounding strap off and not have any problems? Thanks

It can help prevent corrosion of the exhaust - sounds weird, but it's true. It sometimes can also help the signal from the O2 sensor.

Might just want to move the ground strap to somewhere on the body near one of the exhaust flanges and attach it to the bolt/nut on the flange.

I just did my RX8Store system over the weekend. There wasn't a place to bolt the strap so I just wrapped it on one of the hangers. I figured it was there for a reason.
