What mid-pipe do I get?

hi,

I am looking for a little more power, and to get rid of my catalytic converter. Right now I am looking at a Racing Beat Mid-pipe cat delete, and a
OBX Cat Delete Test Pipe. Which one is better? Is there a difference, cause I wouldn't think so.

Thanks,

It is worth it to spend that extra money on it. If you don't want to then I would go with the racing beat dual res, people seem to really like it.

I hear horror stories from OBX.. I've got the full turboXS exhaust and love it. BUT it is very loud. Like xexok said, lots of people like the racing beat dual res. Not as loud as the TurboXS.

i purchased and just installed the RX7store.net SS Resonated midpipe. I can definitely feel a difference in the power band around 3-5k. It sounds a little raspy and high pitched but its on the stock header and catback. I'm waiting on the Racing Beat Racing Catback.

Don't get a non resonated midpipe, these cars are f'ing lound

midpipe outside of serious engine work (FI, SC, Nitrous, full build by expert) will give little to no gains. It makes the car sound great though

I would go for the Racing Beat or the Agency Power Dual Resonated pipe. The RB a bit pricier but worth the money very nice sound quality. The AP a more cost effective option without the lack in quality/design you may see with the OBX. I have a few AP midpipes in stock at the moment for a great price. Shoot me a pm if you decide to go that route.

i lied. i noticed the rx7store.net resonated midpipe i installed day before yesterday didnt have a hangar. well. today i shifted kind of hard and the exhaust banged up against the transmission tunnel really hard. I also noticed on cold starts it sits and hits and causes the car to vibrate badly.

I would advise against this one even though the price is good

it's a very easy easy fix, if you have the equipment to weld stainless, which i do and i will fix it in 5 minutes tomorrow but the average modder doesnt have a tig welder.

food for thought
