Weird Hks Intake ?
Weird Hks Intake ?
Well I was just wondering what color is the filter for the Hks intake now... So far I seen yellow, purple and red. Do I choose the color filter when I order the intake, or do I just get a random color....
here is my ground wire install. nothing showing. and I know I have the K&N v1. I installed one of the factory screens and idles smooth. Don't even mention heat soak. That HKS intake looks like a metal box radiating all kinds of heat. To me not worth the price for a shiny metal box. But that is my opinion. Pic quality is poor took it with my cell.

if you look at deedubb's car, the negative terminal has a connection circle.
does your grounding kit have that? probably not if you followed the factory wires.
the position of the circle is elevated above the height of the battery cover.

no I did not use the "circle" that came with the grounding kit. I replaced the factory terminals with multipoint termials and was able to tie the ground kit directly to the new ground terminal. I also left the factory ground wiring intact. I am not saying that he installed it incorrectly, just could have done it a bit neater..
if u call neater hiding it so that nothing is showing, then by all means, that's fine. But a grounding kit will do practically nothing for our car in general, aside from headlight idle stability, so having it there is pointless. A grounding kit for the rx8 is only to dress up the engine bay. That's all.
ok, we appreciate your suggestion but on my end it's just a suggestion that I will not follow. Obviously we ( me and ngo) did it just to dress the bay up a lil. As ngo stated it does nothing but add under the hood bling so why waste my time tucking it and hiding something that will never be seen? Again it does nothing (for our car anyway) but stabilize the lights and electronics.
