Exclamation Warning Agency Brake Lines

This is just a warning for anyone that has the Agency brake lines or is thinking of buying them. First off I do recommend them because they are great. Now to the warning, I was noticing a rubbing sound from my right front whell well. It turns out that when I make sharp right turns the inside of the tire was rubbing up against the brake line. It rubbed of the outside plastic coating but the steel braid was intact. I don'y thing the steel would of ever worn away because like I said it only does it on right turns when the wheel is turned to its max. Anyway I took somew slack off tyhe whose and its good for now but I will have to take the tire off and put a zip tie in place so it doesn't do it again. So it may be a good idea to check your lines.

Did the kit come with intallation instructions or warning about the possibility of clearance issues. If not, you may want to send an email to Agency power so they can revise their installation booklet.

It did come with all the required hardware but no instructions. I already shot them an e-mail.

I wonder if the SS brake line that I bought from Racing Beat a year ago will suffer the same problem.

Im going to try to install it tomorrow, me worry now

What I suggest you do is install it and once you place the tires on. Drive the car on some rhino ramps in the front, turn the wheel all the way in both directions and inspect from underneath to ensure it's not rubbing. You can do this with the front wheels on the floor but you need to use a flash light and peak thru the wheel (more difficult). No need to worry it's an easy fix and the wheel will not rub thru the Steel line at least not in the first week. Good Luck.

now you know why the Goodridge lines appear long, they actually provide great clearance for even the biggest possible wheel/tire combo
