Umnitza intake

Anyone install this intake yet? My son has one on his Mazda 3 and he loves it.

I was the actual test car for this intake, nice quality intake doesn't hurt that it looks good too . But still waiting for the dyno runs on this. Definetly sounds a lot more aggressive than stock, the sound clip doesn't really does it justice, but this was done with the ms exhaust so not sure how much louder it would be with a louder exhaust.

Hey ZoomZoom, how much louder is it? I just want to know if it annoying loud like some of the other intakes that are out? Also is it CARB approved? Maybe I can check it out in person in live in Montery? You might get a free lunch or dinner out of it. :D

Noticeably louder, lets put it this way I didn't knew how quiet my car was until I heard the intake. It's loud but not intolerable loud, in a way it makes the car sound more alive. It gives the car a lot more tone esp. 4k and up, I have no negatives things to say about this intake. I don't have the intake, I was just a testbed until the units are ready to be sold. I don't think he even has any right now b/c of the carbon fiber shortage.

It's not as loud as the old k&n thats for sure, but louder than racing beats'.

Could you feel any performance difference? Did you have this at that Tapioca Express meet? Your car sound noticably louder, which is why I thought you got a new exhaust.

Intakes in general don't seem to produce much hp or torque on the RX-8, so it's essentially a sound mod. My concern is that it may be TOO LOUD. It sounds nice and throaty on my son's Mazda 3, though.

Looks pretty nice. Not that I am predicting anything huge, but I'd still like to see the dynos. Good luck with your car zoomzoom.
