Cool torque converter and FI/NO2

I was thinking of purchasing a RX8 automatic (my wife can not drive stick) and I was wondering if anyone knew if the torque converter could handle the added stress of either nitrous or forced induction or will it turn into grey slush?. Also, what would be the proper amount of break in time needed before I would be able to install one of these? I am aware that the automatic doesn’t rev as high as the stick(thus less power), but that is due in part to the torque converter not being capable of handeling the rev's. I have owned rx7’s in the past, and I understand their nature(low torque/ high peak hp), I was just wondering what you guys thought about this.

I have been following the Hymee and Richard Pual threads for about 2 months now, as well as looking on the site for other info; but now as it looks like I am deff going to buy an RX8 I thought I would post my question. I have read most threads on FI and Nitrous, however there are very few comments on the automatic other than get a stick, and this is not an option.

Any ideas: Rotarygod,Richard Pual, philodox, Hymee, Cortc?

Driving the manual is not hard. In my opinion, auto is for lazy poeple. Its 'helpful' only in heavy traffic. Get your lady to know how to drive stick and you're both gonna love it and get used to it. That is a much better solution, cheaper and reliable, which is gonna give you 40hp straight away, if you know what I mean

Even before buying an 8, you're looking for so extreme mods, it is a stupid thing to go for the auto. Everyone that mods his car goes for the most powerful option, or regrets it later. The cars differ so much...

...and with a low-torgue engine, I believe you can make the most of your car only with a manual tranny.

If you can drive stick and the wife can't, you won't be satisfied buying an auto 8.
Get her to catch public transport or........ teach her to drive stick.

I recommend you go to a dealer and test drive the both of them to see which one you like more, remember, the yardstick to measure this, is to see which one gives you a wider grin.
