When you say straight pipe are talking about a mid-pipe? Or straight pipe as in no muffler?

Straight pipe would be extremely unbearably loud.

Canzoomer sells one with a high flow cat. Also, Vivid Sells the B&B mid. www.vividracing.com

As far as mid pipes go, if it is a simple pipe there is no reason why one would out perform another assuming they were the same size. Using one with a presilencer installed may make a difference but only based on the silencer design. I haven't seen a crap one yet.

From: AL/GA...you pick
Random Tech has manufactured one solely for Canzoomer that has HH/HF Cat w/ resonator have yet to hear it in person but from discussions with RXHusker he claims it is a bit louder than stock but not overly civic like...now Boost Solutions has the B&B exhaust along with their mid-pipe (which is 'straight') and the damn thing is so freaking unbearibly loud it's crazy and 'un'streetable....the gain you receive from running just this isn't worth the $$ and noise levels...

Just get one with a resonator and you should be fine. Be aware, that you will need to replace the catback as well because there is a horrible rattle that comes from the stock muffler once you remove the cat.

Its not unbearably loud, but it certainly is louder. I am running the RP Midpipe with resonator, and the Greddy catback.
