Stock intake or Aftermarket?

Hey everyone I just really wanted to get some opinions or experiences that everyone has had with air intakes. I am kind of stuck on deciding between AEM or K&N cold air intakes or just leaving it stock and replacing the filter with a K&N one. Anyone's thought or opinions are very much welcome and thanks in advance for help with my problem.

I would get an AEM intake, it sounds great, gives a very small amount of extra power... and somehow increased my gas mileage a bit.

I recently got a drop in K&N filter and removed the baffles from my airbox. The result was surprisingly noticeable. A slight change in sound and while it may not have added much power I still feel like the car is a little quicker! Def worth the investment!

Intakes are like V-Tec, they make more noise giving you a falls impression you gained HP (no flaming I know V-Tec actually does do something just funny how much noise it does for very little) , truth of the matter there are no real worth HP gained found from an intake, car manufactures are generally well designing these. Not like the 90's were you could see a substantial gain from an intake that being said I have an AEM and it sounded great, and when I went turbo it was easy to modified and then it actually makes a difference!

Hell no. It was disturbing how much crap went into the engine with the K&N intake I had. Went back to stock to keep it nice and fresh.

Checked my stock filter & airbox 8k miles after purchase and both the filter and box were very clean! I primarily drive highway miles with the car so im not too worried about it. Several RX7's i've owned had k&n filters and i never experienced a problem.
