Spending

i have roughly $2000 to spend and i want to get some performance mods, but i want them to be "top Notch" what brand and parts do u recommend?

Sooo many good things to buy! It would probably help you out more in the long run if you gave us an idea of what you either have on your car as it is now or what you wish/plan to get out of your investment, i.e. looks, power, handling, interior, sound, etc?

Certainly your typical exhaust, wheels or suspension mods tend to not let their owners down, but you may be the type that prefers more under the hood mods? Help us help you!

There are not much power mod at present. The most developed area of RX-8 mod is bodykit and wheels, followed by struts and sways and suspension mods.

Interior mod is lacking behind too

If you are looking for performance mods and you are not patient, I would go with the GT3 kit from SR motorsports. If you want to be prepared for FI and still get a little somethin' somethin' now, go with AEM Race Programmable Engine Management System. Exhaust is always good too.

honestly, save it. anything out right now offers MINIMAL gains.

I say put it back in the bank. As for brands, I can't tell you which one is best. It's up to you, and how much research you do on certain products.

so i ended up getting the Racing Beat Exhaust, Sr motorsports 9Lb. flywheel and clutch package...well worth it?

Racing Beat is coming out with a air intake as well. Might want to take a look at it. Shouldn't be that expensive, and give you a few ponies. Also a hi-flow cat has shown the best improvement in terms of hp for this car.

You'll see the power really rise in your car once you open up the flow with an exhaust, perhaps even a high-flow cat. Of course, I'm speaking in terms of you getting forced induction as well.

Now that does sound like money well spent! That RB is excellent, and I've heard only good things about the lightweight flys... Enjoy them!

Please be sure to update us on how the flywheel/clutch set work out for you!
