Sound of an rx8 with cold air!!

Hey, I ve had my rx8 for over 6 months now and my friend think it would sound a lot better with the AEM cold air intake.

Does anyone here have a vid of his car or another rx8 to see the sound with the cold air

thx

My friend actually had the AEM, didn't like the feel of it, and was scared of Hydrolocking, so he went with the K&N Typhoon 2gen intake, you should look into that.... from what other drivers as well as him have told me, it feels better.... just a thought...

Doesn't like the feel, can you elaborate on that? Neither of the intakes makes much difference, I'm suprised you'd be able to feel the differences between the two at all.

I think, by hydrocking he means the air filter may get so wet to the point that air won't flow through it anymore. The AEM filter is in a place where it may get wet.

Feel - yes that could mean anything from how it smoothly it idled to overall subjective opinion of quality.

When the engine takes in water thus locking it instantly. The filter usually has to be submerged and hydrolocking is usually rare.

A by-pass valve can eliminate this problem.
