Sneed 4 Speed brake cooler anyone?
:D: Anybody have these? they look pretty nice but i would much rather have it powder coated black on the brackets and black hose to make things look cleaner.
SneedSpeed Brake Cooler Kit for Rx-8 - Sneed Speed Shop 298.00 not bad at all wouldn't mind purchasing these  just thought i'd shared. |
unless you are really pushing it --like driving 11/10--you dont need these. Just get proper pads/rotors and fluid and you are good to go.
I guess if you are driving a tight circuit, with many turns they could be of some use--but the 8 is fairly lightweight and doesnt generate that much speed so its the individuals call. Nice to have options and it looks like a pretty good kit. I guess there is no contact/blinding with full turning? |
I'll probably just buy these when I get some money. Just to make me look like a badass :) jk I'll see if I can call them to ask on clearance issues
if it was a dedicated track car this would look like a good mod!
This doesn't look too bad. It saves some time on the build if one doesn't want to drill 4 holes to accomodate the cooling hose and build 2 brackets at home.
New price = $417 (!)
those would be pretty easy to build
Cool can you make one that goes all the way to my turbo? :)
When are you going to give me something tough, But yes that's easy. where would like the filter and would you need a Maf flange? Also Im guessing you would want it hard pipe not the flex crap
or are you walking a duct with piping that dumps to the existent air filter? That's even easier. Either way I have most of it laying here in the garage lol |
No I just mean having a cooling duct to cool the turbo area :)
Granted those are not stressed components, those welds are horrid.
Speedsource sells (or sold) a similar kit
I can pry make you the duct part for the oem bumper section then we could find a duct so i know what size outlet pipe to weld on it.

Oh. Those are legit.
I believe the one for the 350z fits our bumper too. just depends on what you want to do

I just want to cool that area, my firewall is getting cooked despite being banged out and sprayed. I plan on pulling everything soon and trying a DEI tunnel wrap material there. I'm not sure how much a duct to that area would help but it can't hurt.
ah so your not wanting it to cool the intake more of a duct to cool where the turbo is located. Why didn't you just say so lol

Hard to believe with all the Isuzu v6 and Saab swaps going on, but I can see where 9k got behind the game and became a noob all over again

Ya know this shop is on my way home from work. I may definitely stop by there now. Cool option, but i see olddragger's point in not needing them.
