you can't go wrong with either. Personally, i'd go with the axial flow shifter.

like everyone said. can't go wrong with either. just depends on the purpose. if its the handling and autox. then go sways. if you want the firm and sharp and acurate throw, go with the shifter

it is really that much better, and it is an easy mod to do your self....

no jackstands needed. just a few wrenchs and some time.

I was thinking about getting that shifter. How is it working for you?

I think it really depends on your preferences. I have both. If you want your car to handle better, get the sways, if you want your shifts to be more precise, get the short shifter. See if anyone around you has the short shifter, and will let you play around with it. I wasn't sold until I played with IzzI's.

Since it's a b-day gift I would get the expensive one out of the two and get the RB sway bars. Im assuming someone is paying for these for your gift right? I love the RB suspension on my car but honestly there are times that I think I should have bought a short shifter first. The short shifter would have benefited me more for the type of daily driving that I do as opposed to the sways since I haven't took full advantage of them on a autox yet.

drove a car with the RP shifter this weekend and it ROCKS!

Since you don't Auto Cross, I think you'd get more joy out of the short shifter. My $.02
