Just wondering what the difference between the Greddy SE and the Greddy SP exhausts where?

SE:

SP2:
The new SP2 features a 304 stainless steel muffler canister with extra strong 430 SS end caps that feature a deep, high polish. Large, high volume mufflers provide maximum flow with a deep, pleasing tone and are especially effective when used on vehicles with aftermarket turbocharger systems. The unique outer curled oval tip (115 x 110mm dia.) is embossed with the famous GReddy logo. Employing state-of-the-art robotic seam welding, the single wall canisters feature increased rigidity for maximum durability and life. With over 35 types of internal perforated tubes, each SP2 application is specifically tuned for the best combination of sound and performance. The new SP2 also features thick walled (1.5mm), polished 304 stainless steel mandrel bent piping for better resonance and vibration control and enhanced corrosion resistance and durability. I didnt really know the difference as well. I thought the SP2 is more of a performance type no?

The SE is prob just a prettier, newer version of the SP2. Im thinking about purchasing the SE here real soon.

Lots of people complained about SP2's noise level. It was WAY too loud.(for some)

SE should be somewhere below 95 db.

The SP2 exhaust is not anything close to WAY too loud... Have you even heard one?

The SE has smaller tips, that's for sure.

the "loud" thing is pretty much personal opinion.

I never heard of it in person. but I checked out some video with the camera sits around 3 feet away from the exhaust. pretty loud.

tips are smaller, but also prettier (again, my opinion :lol:)

Srry for posting so late, but I like sound of the SP2 exhaust. I tried to find a clip of the SE but couldn't find one.

Do they both sound the same? Or if you have a clip will you please post it.

The SP2 sounds like crap without a turbo. That's why you always see them for sale used with very little mileage on them.

With a turbo it's the perfect sound!

Guys do you know if the SP2 matches up with the turboxs racepipe? or do you have to modify it a bit and how so?

The only exhaust system that will match up with the turboxs midpipe is the turboxs exhaust. :icon_no2:

Again more personal opions being expressed here, but I'll have you know that I sold my old Greddy SP2 because I was planning on selling the car, but when I found out I was going to keep my car, I bought another Greddy SP2! I think it sounds great and distinctly rotary and it doesn't annoy me on the highways but lets my smile in the tunnels. Oh and I have great taste because I own Volks! LOL

Anyway why would anyone with a Turbo want to run the Greddy SP2 exhuast with a 2.5" pipe? Too restrictive for turbo don't you think?
