This is informative to me as I am starting to look at a HFC to pair with my MS exhaust. Any way you can upload a sound clip? Have you had any problems at all with this product; excessive heat, clearance with MS suspension, etc???

Endgame, I have a soundclip on my phone taken from inside the cockpit that I could upload, but it is so loud at WOT that I get mass distortion. I'll work on getting it up since school work is pissing me off right now and this provides a needed distraction.

Here's the clip, that was relatively painless except for the fact that it's a zipped .amr because of stingy size restrictions on uploads. Oh well, back to work I guess.

Here's link to the mp3 format too (right-click, save-as):

I dunno why you guys are fussing with washers and straps. I got a hanger welded on at Meineke for $20 and it took about 15 minutes.

I had the washers just setting about in my garage, so it cost me nothing essentially and about 10 seconds to install.

Jason

I shipped a midpipe dirt cheap to Scotland of all places using USPS, not sure why you're having an issue unless the box is much larger than it needs to be and it had a rear hanger installed too

Its possible they didnt measure the package that you shipped and let it thru which has happened to me a few times. A midpipe is to long to ship thru them even if it fits the box perfect.

Could cut it in half and they can weld it together there. Just make sure and put a line down the pipe the long way before you cut it so that they know where it matches up. Make sure the customer is down with doing that.

no it shipped International Economy and the length/girth was legal per the USPS website, it was the RP midpipe it met the length + girth not over 130"

I can smell the fuel coming out of the exhaust pipes a lot more yes. Of course, it smelled like it was running very rich even before I changed the cat compared to my hyundai.

It would be nice if they told the customers that the three bolts and nuts that attach the cat or midpipe to the header need to be purchased, instead of saying the bolts from the stock cat can be used. (They are welded to the stock cat on the header end).

Also in light of the midpipe that it will throw a CEL, over the phone one of the reps at RX8store said that none of their's have thrown a check engine light.

We have never said the midpipe didnt throw a CEL. I have said that some customers have told me they have not gotten a CEL with our resonated midpipe, but I couldnt verify that was the case for every car.
