Question RX8 mods for 2009 model

Okay so iv had my 2009 rx8 for almost a year now and im still having some trouble finding things for the 2009. Seems like almost everything is available for the older model. What exhaust systems and other mods are available for the 2009??

I found a racing beat twin tip exhaust here

http://www.mazdatrix.com/8exhaust.htm

Looks kind of cool. All I did was go to google.com and type in 2009 rx8 (intake, exhaust, etc) and you should find what you're looking for. Good luck.

Mostly everything is the same except the bumpers, catback and some interior things.

There are plenty of mods you can do with an 09. I have installed a MS CAI and works like a charm.

You could get some springs, anything interior, V-LEDs, exhaust (mid pipes, catbacks), rims, and countless others. As EMart said, most everything is the same except the bumpers and some of the electronics. The only thing not really out there are body kits; we have three and they are imports from Japan.

Ap is not in developement for 2009 due to recession there isn't any sales of RX8 so no time will be invested into the new platform until there are alot of RX8's are sold.

I installed a Racing Beat catback on af7mn's R3 a month ago. The 09 tips sit lower than the 04-08 so that's why the 04-08 exhaust doesn't fit on the 09 and vice versa

This really sucks, I was planning on being one of the first ones to get one when they came out. Hopefully if they run this revision of the car for a few more years they will have enough demand for one.

The problem isn't the tuning as the engines are for most purposes the same through all the years(well the MT anyway). The issue is the new computer on the 09's and the old AP not working with it(I believe). If it were just the tuning that needed to be different then MM would have it down by now, the pre-09 AP won't even work at all with the 09's.

If i'm wrong here then someone can correct me but this is how I understand it(even though if I'm not mistaken cobb even took some info from a 09 owner early on just never accually produced the product)

You can't even Mod the front bumber on an 09.

Try taking off the Mazda emblem............

That was back in January.

Per MM Cobb is not working on 09 RX 8

There's no return on investment. Sales are too small.

If I'm not mistaken:

Exhausts: Greddy and RacingBeat

Intake: AEM, and Mazdaspeed

I would wait a few more months, they should have products out, always do
