rx8 greedy kit 350z

Hey guys i am thinking about buying a new car.So far i have 2 options that iam considering eather rx8 or 350z. I really like rx8 but it seems slow to me i was just wondering if i would get rx8 and bought greedy kit for it right away(and go to some shop to tune it even thou it comes pretuned maybe till like 7 psi ) would my car be faster than 350z? how much power can i expect from rx8 with greedy kit ?(is it 240 at 5psi ?) also how would it compare to my friends 240sx with turbo pushing 208 at 5psi?+++++++++

my friends 240 weighs in at 2610 pounds, while my 8 comes in at 2940.
He has the SR20DET swap, is also pushing near 200whp, and is significantly slower than me.

another friend of mine has a modded NA 350z (258 whp). With the greddy kit he could still keep up. Once i got it tuned... he had no chance. At that point I was putting down 240whp.

Now that i'm tuned with the interceptor, its not even worth challenging him anymore. New benchmark is EVOs.

hope that helps answer your questions.

Oh, btw.. cost for power level... you are near a 350z.
For $26,000 for a base model MT RX-8 Plus $3000 for the kit, and $500 for tuning... you are still under the cost of a new 350z.

Add in gauges, gauge pod, boost controller, exhaust, midpipe, oil pan, new EMS, another tuning session, clutch, flywheel, wider wheels, wider tires... and you are WAY over the cost of a stock 350z.
Eventually you will find yourself buying all of those items... so get ready for the investment.

Drive them both. They are both great cars.
Since we here are rotary enthusiasts, most will prefer the 8 over the 350.
While each has their own pro's and con's, it basically comes down to what you are wanting.
The RX-8 is more fun to drive and does well of the line... Not the fastest and certainly not
the slowest.

I think it was a joke

EDIT: That is a good deal though. How much after installation, tuning, and all the other stuff you had to buy with it??

Why are you guys telling him to search? It's not like power with the Greddy kit has been discussed here before. I certainly have never seen anything comparing the 8 to the 350Z before. Muhhhahahahaha!!!

Ignore the haters. Its all about...

One thing i forgot to mention earlier. With the Greddy Kit, EMS, and Tuning... not only will you be able to take Zs in the straight... but now you have a car that is lighter, brakes better, and is faster... meaning that in the twisties its game over.

*queue lil flip - game over*

With all of this, how come my friends with the Z and Sil80 can still take me at autocross? Cuz i suck at racing (not always, but sometimes). More important than any of your mods is your skills.

I guess thats all i have to say.

hope it helps

-hS

PS: We are all autocrossing this sunday, so we'll see if the suckage continues or not

Hey hey, its nothin personal. I got flamed just as bad if not worse when I was a noob. I asked the infamous "What is this 50 dollar computer chip on Ebay that claims to give a 50 HP increase?" question. Its all in good fun. Kinda like bein a pledge in a fraternity before you can be a brother.
