Question rx8 flywheel

Hi,
I have an rx8 197 hp, Im interested in purchusing a mazdaspeen flywheel, can any one give me some feedback please. Does it make a difference in accelaration? Do I have to change any other parts as well if I add the flywheel? What else can I add to improve my accelaration? But please keep in mind I can only use mazdaspeed parts or else I will lose my warranty. Thank you..

Maybe he doesn't have an automatic, but a low-power 5-speed manual like I do ?

thats my guess, most of the time when people post up "I have a rx8 197" or "i have an rx8 231" its people from overseas, when they are in america its "i have an auto rx8" or "i have a manual rx8".

if you can use a flywheel, it will make a noticable difference, esp in low gears, 1st, 2nd, 3rd. It also makes the engine rev faster in N, so you can rev match on downshifts easyer.

Hey Samo,

I live in Belgium too.
If you speak french, you may even want to come and say hello on RX8France too.

As far as the flywheel is concerned, I just ordered an ATS Twin Carbon clutch kit.
How silly am I ?

But if you wanna know, I'll come back here to tell my feelings about it...

Why would I loose any warranty ?

My 5-speed gearbox is broken and will be replaced under warranty. I thus take the opportunity to also upgrade the clutch.
There is no way that a change of clutch will kill the tranny or the engine any faster...

Samo, sending you a PM.

because from my understanding any part you change that is not from mazda than you loose your warranty from mazda.

Then, I could not change the catback, my air filter, my tires, the wheels, or even the washer liquid.
Things that most of us do here...
My garage is still welcoming me for the revisions.

Did I mention that my garage proposed me to do the swap ?
Otoh, they are more twitchy concerning the oil.
