RP SuperCat CEL, help!

I just installed my RP supercat. I put a new O2 sensor in at the same time. After 60km of driving the CEL is now on all the time. It flashes when I am at full throttle, then will return to solidly on afterwards.

Is this a problem, or is the CEL supposed to be on??? Even with a header and highflow cat my old car never had a CEL.

Should I cought up and have Mazda read the code that goes with it?

yes I searched too, but couldn't find anything specific.

Thanks,
Juergen

Flashing CEL means something else.

Turn it back to stock and see what happens. Thats what I would do.

Do a search.. I think you need a specific O2 sensor, otherwise other brands do not work.

TAke it to autozone/pep boys/partsplus/whatever. Most name brand parts places will read the code for free.

I have the RP supercat and have had no CELs. Actually, I've never had a CEL with the car. Other option is to post a thread in your regional forum, to see if anyone local to you has a the scanalyzer tool...

spd frk, just wondering if you got any resolution on this. I installed the RP SuperCat and after less than 300 miles I have a CEL on all the time. Before that no CEL's. I don't want to clear the code until I know what caused it. (By the way, I used the stock 02 sensor).

Did you replace the gasket or use the old one?
