i can't seem to find it online...
anyone know where i can read up about it and/or order one? thanks |
rickshaw: n : a small two-wheeled cart for one passenger; pulled by one person
|
^sorry I couldn't resist :D
|
Try also searching for "TSI" . I think it was mentioned on threads here that its the same unit
|
i found it on google, but the link wouldn't work.
|
PM Hymee. I believe he has a contact.
|
yeah i believe tsi went out of buisness but i believe ric shaw still has them something like that.
i have one and i might be selling it . i bought it from a friend |
can you give me any info on it? all i've heard is that it exists, but i don't know any of the particulars.
thanks |
What kind of information u need ???
|
what is it capable of?
and all the general info because i don't know shit about it. |
ok ill be home in a little while ill read through the manual .also i believe hymee has one installed in his car . and you can get a harness so you dont cut into your car ecu wires.
|
From reading the manual you can adjust timing, fuel, has nos mode, adjust injecters by one not sure what they mean.if i find anything else i post it up.
|
The ric shaw ECU is more correctly a "TSI" ecu. They have since gone out of business, but Hymee is still in contact with one of the former partners.
|
yeah hymee!!!!!! give us the the information i heard you got it installed in your car
|
I am in contact with the maker of these units. Ric Shaw does not make them, and the maker told me he only ever sold 3 to Ric.
I am still planning on using this unit with the S/C. I can't put you into contact with the man himself, as he will only deal with a distrubution network. Which could very well end up being me :) Cheers, Hymee. |
hymee does this unit have a on /off switch i know theres a program that says it for nitrous could you get any more info ????
|
So will it later be known as Hymee Enhanced Unit?? :p
It will be great. I want to be able to tune it myself... well to some extent :p |
It does not have an on/off switch per se, but it is a simple matter (10 second job) to bypass the unit by unplugging it and connecting a bypass circuit to the harness.
I'll check up about the Nitrous... Cheers, Hymee. |

cool.
i've heard it mentioned, but what are its limitations? is it just a piggy back that will allow you to add or subtract fuel and timing up to a percent, or can you build a fuel map from scratch? |

correct ??? Unless you rigged up a hi-density switching gang... What you do is unlpug the harness from the piggy back, and plug a blanking "plug" into the end of the piggy back cable, that hooks into the wiring loom. We made a loom for the RX8 so it plugs in without cutting any wires. Unles Rad has updated his design for newer models, there is no switch per-se. I should post some pics. Cheers, Hymee. |
