replacement Mazsport coils

can be purchased here...

http://www.034motorsport.com/product...products_id=39

Testing with a DMM the inductance and resistance numbers match up really close (see below). I used a little program I found on the MegaSquirt page to confirm the Dwell requirements were the same. Thought others would appreciate not having to pay twice the amount for replacements from a forum vendor.

http://www.megamanual.com/files/soft...oilAnalyze.zip

Mazsport - 3.5ms
Primary Inductance - 4.04mH
Primary Resistance - .6 Ohms
Secondary Resistance - 9.00 kOhms

IGN-1 - 3.5ms
Primary Inductance - 3.98mH
Primary Resistance - .6 Ohms
Secondary Resistance - 8.80 kOhms

The MSD "Single Tower Coil" part number 8232 is a CDI coil and not what you want to use with the IGBT driver in the X4 ignitor.

And yes, I did replace one of my coils with what I bought from 034motorsports. It is the same coil that Mazsport sanded the part number off. It's also available from a couple other places, Redline-Weber, as well as from Mecury Marine distributors...but it's way overpriced from them (95-100 bucks).

Any noticable gains? Seeing as they look almost identical and the specs you provided are only slightly out of family which could be due to manufacturing tolerances.
