rebuild the tranny
i got some problems with my tranny and im going to have to put money into it anyway, or get a new one. i want to rebuild the transmission and beef it up. meaning put some parts in it to make it be able to handle more horsepower and loose less power through the trannsmission. does anyone know how i can do this, what parts i need to buy. if anyone could share there experience with me that would be wonderful.
Thanks you

I think you can Cryo-treat the gears and pretty much everything going in the tranny to make it all a little stronger.
I'm pretty sure you can't do anything about the loss of power in the trann. Thats just how they work.

You might want to contact G-force transmissions, they rebuild/strengthen other transmissions.
Then again, a one-off project like that would probably cost an arm and a leg and you would have more gear noise with straighter-cut gears. I wonder what other cars use our transmission...I doubt there's any significant market for a beefed-up aisin transmission. It would probably be cheaper to swap in a T-56. Or maybe the cryo thing would work, that would probably be your only semi-affordable option. Also talk to RX8PR, they beefed up the input shaft and something else IIRC.

I need to go to school and learn only how to rebuild Rx8 trans! $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
I haven't looked at a rx8 trans but most aren't hard to rebuild "IF" you know what is what and where things go.

if you are going to spend the money to rebuild it, have the cryo-treating done. I went to an automotive school and we learned about it. It strengthens the metal BIG time.

not necessarily ....
I forgot to mention that part of the $3000 charge is from them having all the internals REM finished:
