Racing Beat Race Exhaust system???

Has anyone heard anything about the new exhaust system yet?...not the mid pipe, im talking about the muffler that has one tip facing down.

or maybe a link to a thread about this?

i want to know what it sounds like and and how it looks on the car if anyone has it yet.

thanks.

I wish I could hear a sound too. I am thinking seriously about that exhaust. I am just afraid it will be too loud.

I have it. should I post pics of the rear? and post what i think? and get my friends cam to record some vid of it? i hope you're talking about the same race system. i have it, it's not that new production wise....but none the less, it's more new than the other one they have. I can honestly say it's freaking awesome. but, if ya'll want pics, and vid, just tell me. see how good this thread goes. I should just do it anyways, but I just wanna see if this thread doesn't die, hah.

well i can honestly say the race system, and the rev8 system sound identical. I have an SR cat, so it may not sound as loud with just the race cat-back.

I'll use this same reply, and edit the photos in. it's very dark outside, and my flash is a little iffy, but i'll put a pic for now, and get you [guys] some daytime pics.

-Cody

edit: it sounds like this from the outside, i assume. I've never been outside my car while it's under full throttle, and no one around here that owns an 8 takes it passed 7.

tomorrow, i'll def. get a friend to record how it sounds inside, it's unbelievable. it sounds diff. from every seat (that I know).
i took three pics.

and this one

and this one..

yeah, like. I remember i was at the park with my girlfriend at the time, and this one guy with a ti saw mine, and he like sped down that road in 2nd. that was when I had a stock exhaust, and I was already starting to memorize the sounds of rpms by heart (just got the car at the time), my dad was saying that the guy who drives it is all ******* and really cocky, he got all his tires slashed at one time (before i had mine). Oh well, i think they (people that buy them here in town) went for the looks.

Oh of course. One of my friends is a certified welder, and he digs the job they did on it.

It was lighter than I anticipated. I didn't actually weigh it myself, I trust racing beat.

My father works at Schlumberger, he's the facility manager. Anyways, I weighed my car one night. 2970lbs

edit: at a quarter of a tank. That was the weight after I subtracted the weight of me.

That way the tip comes out on that photo doesn't look like that on the actual system. Believe it or not. I'll get a daytime photo of the tip as well.

very nice, haha.

yeah mines still stock as of right now, but the first thing im doing is exhuast, and maybe some other small things.

the thing i really wanna do is get some nice staggered shocks or something, something to get rid of that nasty wheel hop on launches...do you get that?

wheel hop? no. I do get a tad a wheelspin going into second, and a few times into third. Now i get it all the time in third due to low tread. i've never heard that term, cuz i doubt it means the wheels hop off the road. Unless you mean how it kinda leans back under full throttle. Dunno, i kinda like that, hah. But it'd also be nice to not feel it, either way, i'm getting the koni's and some tein s-tech next month.

i was looking at that same setup as well.

wheel hop is when you powershift and you get that like wheel chatter, like the wheels dont spin, they like go "bump bump bump" very fast.

and/or when you do a burnout. haha.
