Question on Exhaust...

Hey guys, I've done some looking and researching and I have three different exhaust systems picked out for my 8. They are "The B&B Exhaust, The Greddy SP2 Exhaust, & The Borla Exhaust." I've heard sound clips of all three and they all seem to give the same good sound everyone is happy about! But, On the designs of these exhaust I noticed that Greddy exhaust has what it looks like two mufflers instead of the one Borla has. I read a DIY in a magazine on the borla exhaust and they mention I believe getting 12 or 13 whp out of this exhaust. So my question is, is their a difference in having two small mufflers or one muffler for two tips? Is thier a difference in power gains or sound? Let me know.

Don't worry about the power gains from an exhaust, you won't get much.

I'd say just buy it based on looks and sound (try going to a meet in your area and hearing other people's exhaust)

^what he said. People have not been able to replicate certain results that the exhaust companies gave out. Go with whichever one you like the sound and/or looks of.

Well, I might have to do that, but is their a difference though or its just designs and all the same thereafter. Cause my friend said to go with the borla since its only one muffler with two tips, but would it be better to have the two? I like their looks aswell on all three so its gonna be a tough desicion. Is thier a site or anything that mentions the weight of each exhaust? I looked through the formns and didnt really get the right answer I needed. So hit me up!

They are all designed well, don't worry about one being better than the other.

Just pick the one YOU think looks/sounds best.

There really isn't an advantage power wise to a single or a dual muffler system. As long as they all can flow the amount of air necessary to do their job, that's really all that counts. This requirement can be met with any muffler configuration. Pretty much every system out there meets those requirements. Make your decision based on looks, weight, and sound. Put the most emphasis on sound.

i understand the majority of the systems don't make much more power if any at all but i thought the true 3" systems like the turboxs & the agency power were putting out the claimed numbers! what did i miss???

It's a nice sounding exhaust. It's only the best if you think it's the best.
