Question Quesion about Turboxs Test Pipe!!

Hey i ordered a Turboxs test pipe from their web site but.... I was looking on vividracing after i ordered it and on their site they say its for Turboxs's exhaust only. I was wondering if it would bolt up to my greddy sp2 because on turboxs's site they don't say anything about it not fitting.

I'm pretty sure I've seen someone else mention they had to make slight modifications to the flange to get it onto a (mazdaspeed possibly) aftermarket exhaust. Search around a bit.

That's correct. I had a TurboXS Race Pipe and it only bolted up to the TurboXS Exhaust. You have to weld a flange so that it will work with the any other exhaust or else you'll get massive leakage.

a test pipe is just a straight pipe, so shouldnt they all sound very very similar? I can only imagine the difference would come from metal differences such as thickness density etc.

I have the Racing beat straight pipe and don't have any complaints other than sometimes it does get a bit raspy(cold start).. but then most of the rest of the time I love it.

Yep, they should all sound very similar although there are some exceptions such as the diameter of the piping and the size of a resonator if it were to have one. The TurboXS Race Pipe is three inches in diameter and have a resonator.

Heh... why do you always come in and say something irrelevant and completely off topic, Taj?
