How are you going to polish a plastic intake manifold? Unless you just want to make it shinny plastic

And intake manifolds don't add power to our cars without significant other modification.

I think that the OP is referring to the notion of a "port and polish" regarding the intake.

are you talking about the upper intake manifold behind the oil filler neck, or a cold air intake to replace the stock air box

if it's upper intake manifold, there isn't any

if it's cold air intake, try the search function...

If you make the UIM bigger then you'll need to make everything else bigger.

Anyways, who's interested in a port and polished throttle body for the 8?

People make claims all the time that a certain part increases WHP without any proof or hard data to back up their claims. Changing the shape of the runner will change how the power is delivered but those intake manifolds are capable of moving enough air to produce over 400whp. So, claiming there is any kind of restriction is simply false.

You'll be spending a lot of money and getting nothing in return or possibly even losing power as a result. the UIM is rather well made and is more than capable on an N/A car.

I dont now much on what your trying to do, But there is a helpful search button on top that will answer your turbo questions. Sounds to me like you would be blowing away alot of coins before you go turbo...

As for the pastic intake manifold, it holds up great... seeing you have 6 post, you havent really searched a whole lot..

Goodluck!

And why would you go by all this exhuast (header) if yor planning on going turbo, THERE would be a BIG waste of money... Just get a turbo kit and save yourself the trouble and save alot of money in the long run....

This is what I was going to post... I think this guy should get them so I can buy them used when he goes turbo.

Doesn't Pettit make a UIM similar to their SC one for an NA/turbo car?

There is a metric crapton of posts about these very topics and many of then are sticky threads. I'd suggest doing a lot of reading about both turbo applications and other types of upgrades so you don't waste a lot of money and get something you don't want.

Get a BHR ignition kit and a Cobb Accessport from Mazdamaniac. It will help you out a lot.
