Performance increase

Hello there,

I own a 2006 RX-8. Everytime i drive it a feel it could use a bit more power. I don't want to go with major modifications at this point because I don't want to void the warranty. Also, I am not mechanically oriented

Any suggestions? Thx a lot!

Well, You Have To Choose One Or The Other, I Gave Up My Warranty For Performance, So Far I've Had To Pay $2500 For Repairs Out Of My Pocket , Its Not Worth It Unless You Want To Supercharge It Or Make It Turbo.

If you are "not mechanically oriented", look into having your dealer install Mazdaspeed parts. When the dealer installs them, you keep your warrenty. The item that will make the most difference, it also costs the most, is a lightweight flywheel.

the lightweight flywheel costs the most of what? they only run a few hundred dollars.

it'll give you a few hp in the first few gears, but nothing substantial.

in the OP's shoes, I think I'd wait for the cobb reflasher and just flash the ECU with a better tune. Easy to restore, and will make more power than the flywheel.
