I just purchased an 04 rx-8. I would like to add a performance chip that adds some horse and also gets better fuel economy. I found a chip from performancechipdirect.com They claim there chip well had 5-10 horse at the middle settings and in some cases up to 50 horse with the max setting. They also claim that the chip well had 3-6 miles to the gallon. I was curious as to if anybody had purchased chips from them and there feed back or if some one knows a good reliable chip that i can get that really works. The chip on performancechipdirect.com normally is $199.99 but is on sale right now for 79.99. Ur help would be greatly appreciated. I also am curious if the chips you may no of would also work with other aftermarket parts.

No.. there are no "chips" that work with the 8... and if there was.. there would be NO way you'd get a 50 horse gain out of it.... or 10 for that matter.

This is one of the worst chip scam sites I have seen, $79 bucks for less than $5.00 worth of parts. The plastic box with the **** is the most expensive part.
Take a look at the street address of this 'company', you can google that and it sure does look like a tunershop to me Also notice the address of the other links.
