I spoke with Maurice the other day in regards to the canscan cable that he sells. I didn't know, but the box is modified with a faster processor to accomodate more channels of logging. It also has propreitary software. I emailed Dan to ask if there were any plans to develop software for the Palm platform that would work with the CZ variation of the canscan(the regular dan harrison unit is available with Palm os software). He replied that currently there are no plans, but if enough people show interest, he'll do it.

So here's my challenge. I know of at least 2 people other than myself looking to use the canscan with a palm interface, so go on and chime in. I suppose there could be a fee for the software if theres not too many people interested. The palm units will also work with a PC.

I e-mailed Dan in May about a Pocket PC version of the software, and he said he had someone working on it. I'll check back with him and post here what I find out.

I'd be up for working on Palm and/or Pocket PC software. It would be a fun continuation of the dyno project pr0ber is helping me with. My stuff would be gratis, but I have some major time constraints, so Dan may have something before me anyway. Let's see how the dyno program goes over and go from there. Maybe someone else will jump in in the meantime and start on something.
