Nology HotWires for RX8

http://store.yahoo.com/streetbeatcus...1136404-2.html

Interested in what you guys think of these as a possible hp gain for the 8?

Also would this help with flooding issues?

Wires

All of the electronic engineers I work with all agree that this is just an expensive marketing ploy. Where are the dyno results? Can that capacitor charge and discharge fast enough to fire? Usually a gain of MAYBE 1-3HP is possible. Wait for RX7.com comes out with wires. They will be half that price and will be all you need!

Nology wires are snake oil, pure and simple. Their marketing material is pure nonsense, gibberish designed to confuse and impress people who don't know better. A real waste of money, period.

Gordon

I had a friend with nology wires on his integra and he thinks they are a waste of money as well and switched to way less expensive MSD ignition wires and hes can tell more of a difference with them then the nologys.

Agreed. A waste. My previous integra had 10.3mm wires, no real make, made a difference, but the RX8 is awhole different kinda engine. Stick with stock.

I had some of these on a supercharged Miata about 10 years ago. The car used an MSD boost sensitive ignition retard system. For some weird reason, the Nology wires would cause electical interference of the MSD at a specific rev range and load. Made the car misfire badly. I took me forever to figure this one out.

Get the Ultra wires Racing Beat offers. They're half the cost and will do the same thing- maybe 1 HP gain.
