Newbie with exhaust and emission problem

I have a '04 6 speed 8, 42k miles, and 2 warrantys. (one is the 100k/10yr Mazda, the other is a bumper/bumper dealer warranty through Toyota, where I bought it). I want a header-back exhaust system (cat-less, mid-pipe, etc.) but I live in Beaver County, PA and I have emissions test here. The question is, is there ANY possible way to pass emissions without using a cat on my 8? Im not too concerned about my warranty being voided, I read the first sticky in this category and have talked to my dealer previously about aftermarket parts not voiding my warranty. Thanks in advance

Your only option would be a high-flow cat and catback exhaust. I have this setup myself. I live in NJ and also have emissions testing. I just went through inspection 2 weeks ago with no issue.

Save the OEM cat after removal and put it back prior to testing.

........or you could go that route. Personally I didn't feel like swapping between the stock cat and midpipe every time the car needed to be inspected. These are basically your only two options. G/L

How does new jersey do the testing? If he got an access port he could just make it so the cel never shows up and have a regular midpipe on there. I know in vegas all they do is hook up an obd2 scanner to it and check for codes they dont do the sniffer test.

NJ does testing every two years. They will connect a device to your ODB port and they also will do a sniff test with the car running on rollers. This is why I saved my OEM CAT. I m one of the few that didn't get a CEL when I removed my cat so that would be an issue. My car however sinks when sitting in a row of cars so waiting at the inspection station would draw attention.
My plan for the next inspection is to put on the old CAT and use a private garage.

I have an rx7store highflow cat. Its basically their race pipe with a magnaflow highflow cat welded on. As for exhaust I have a GReddy SE catback exhaust. As stated earlier no issues with inspection. The exhaust has a great tone as well.
