New RE Amemiya exhaust

Interesting design, looks like something Odula has. They are claiming 5 - 10ps increase. Wonder how it sounds.

Edit: looks like a new manifold too. But no other info.

So many twists and turns. Does that have any benefit, or is it more for the "cool" factor?

lol, a lot of people here go on about how it looks underneath, guess they never drive their car in the rain ... I agree though, it's just an exhaust

I had one, it was a cross between the two, the only differences are polishing, it's still functionally the same part, polishing is pointless, after several thousand miles of heat and crap splashing on it the finish will be gone

F@ck! The new Amemiya header is exactly like mine! Almost same curves!
I wonder if the opening is the same as the old Amemiya or bigger.

what opening are you talking about, the tube diameter? What's yours? OPening up the plate ports serves no purpose unless you open up the housing ports too.

EDIT: upon further review they made the two back pipes pipe longer to try and equalize the length, the thing is that without port timing overlap like the Renesis has it's not going to do much but run up the cost, I can't tell if the diameter is the same or not

I don't know the english word. The hole in the end which connects to the cat. I saw the old Amemiya and inside that hole, the diameter was very small compared to the opening. And comparing to mine it was very small. The new one should address this issue.
Anyway an update: On dyno run an 8 6mt Cosmo (the same like yours Hi Pow) which showed 222 hp with cat exhaust and revi+ram air, after the install of the header and pulleys I am talking about and with nothing else on it, showed 235 hp. No ECU tweaking. I was not present but I trust like family the tuner that told me that. As for pics flame me because I deleted them by accident last night so now I have to find them again. Sorry.
Also in rx8club.gr a guy did the whole amemiya package, intake, exhaust, header, cat and from 180 hp (Hi Pow) showed 224 hp. No ECU tuning. Now he will install the new HKS piggy supposedly coming out in a few weeks with porting and we are anxious for the results.
EDIT: The weight of the SCOOT Sports header is 5,945 kg.

The cat/mid-pipe protrusion that the crushable ring gasket fits over is 2.625" diameter, so it at least has to be that diameter because that projects into the header opening. Making the header outet diameter larger will only work if you intend to have a larger cat/mid-pipe inlet, which would then be a custom match fit only. It will actually hurt flow to have the header outlet diameter larger if it feeds into the smaller OE size cat/mid pipe inlet.

I'd still like to know what diameter tubes yours has, you can PM if you'd rather not say publicly.

the new manifold, all 3 pipes that joint at the end, are of equal lengths, unlike the initial design.

backpressure gives you more torque (in never-never land).
