New ram-air duct from RE Amemiya

Amemiya finally released their ram-air duct...

http://www.re-amemiya.co.jp/new_part...ir_intake.html

Some pics from their site

The duct looks bigger than the RB duct but prob cant fit the stock grille as well. Steep price though!

It's taller than RB's but not nearly as wide. Some people already complain about the large area the RB unit takes up (even though it doesn't hurt cooling at all). I can't wait to hear what people think about this one.

If you get the Amemiya intake box and the ram-air, it will cost more than US$1k for the plastic version, and US$1.3k for CF... must be the most pricey intake in the market!

I like the look of this. But is there a intake box that it hooks up to or is it just the ram-air duct?

I just want some thing like the ram-air duct. I dont want a intake box.

Thanks,
-Gil

If it doesn't go to a big air box, then it's not really a ram air duct. I know Rotary God has a write up here somewhere...

I wouldn't pay any more than a couple hundered bucks for an intake that gives me no gains. $1,300? Ridiculous.

1300 dollars for some molded carbon fiber? why not just make the thing out of molded PVC or some kinda plastic? its not like you will be able to see it anyway.

Hell the Racing Beat intake and ramair is too expensive, let alone this thing (for the gains you get)

I still have my stock airbox with only the VFAD removed and am pretty happy.

Re-Amemiya's intake is way too expensive. Also, is it a true Cold Air Intake or just a really Big Air Intake? Seems like the AEM intake or Mazdaspeed (USA) Air Intakes would be better deals.
