New Mazdaspeed RX8 clutch?

Found this on the mazdaspeed.jp site. Converted the yen pricing on the bottom (around $570 US) .
Has anyone heard when this will become available?

Thanks for it... have not been to the MS site for a while.

Can order them in Japan - someone suggest change that with flywheel altogether?

Im suprised theres not more excitement over this MS part.

What would the beneift of the MS clutch offer? (if anyone knows)

Does the price outway any benefits?

Im not extremely car tech savy, but the thought of a MS cluth/cluth line/flywheel/short shifter had me drooling.

This clutch should be compared to a ACT Severe Duty Clutch set on performanace and price. Why was this part added to the lineup of MS parts I wonder? Is the stock clutch weak? It seems that any Mazdaspeed parts that come out of Japan, were designed to increase the capabilities of our cars, whatever they are. I just wish they were not so expensive...

Current prices I have found:
Clutch Cover: QSE1 16 410 $396
Clutch Disc: QSE1 16 460 $346

I am drooling about those parts too. To be honest, the parts are "feel only" parts and do not increase performance whatsoever. But in the link, they said it last longer in adverse condition. I think they mean you can safely use that on the track.

For the abuser of the clutch out there, there is a solution for you

This would be good as a replacement or at the time of a flywheel install, not worth it otherwise...

My sentiments exactly - when I do my MS flywheel, I think I will throw this in the car at the same time, along with the throw out and pilot bearings :D

Sorry, I know this is an old post dredge, but has anyone got it, or is it even available?

Frankly the only reason I'd go with a MS part is to retain some shred of warranty. Yes, they're usually a bit more $ than comparable or even better aftermarket parts, but when you got tightwad dealer service centers, you wanna retain warranty as long as you can.

Oh, and if I were to get this.. in goes the flywheel too!

This part is available on www.rx8garage.net. The clutch cover/pressure plate is $345 & the clutch disc is $262 (Total = $607). I will be thinking about this if my stock tranny goes out when I go FI.
