yeah, the more I think about it, the more I like the idea of a metal under tray. Anyone remember Dan's Toy turbo setup?

Get a metal undertray for anyone who just wants to keep dust and dirt out of the engine bay. Then get a second one for anyone who has a battery relocated. Optionally, offer a metal tray for the battery to go with the intake undertray if they retain the battery in the stock location.

An engraved RX-8 logo would be nice. Perhaps a Mazda logo or the interior of one of the rotors; the glass is shaped like the outside already. Maybe even anything the customer wants if you have the ability. An example would be custom; say the driver is obsessed with Superman so he wants a Superman logo on the glass. I know that opens it up a lot, pretty much to almost anything.

I just don't know what your capabilities are how you are making the plexiglass. If you own a CNC machine that does it with a laser, hell you could put anything in there. Perhaps just a couple options would be best in the beginning though.

it's gotta have the BHR logo (IMO)
maybe in smaller writing you can put something custom like the RX-8 logo or AEM, MS, etc but the focus should be on BHR.

I would prefer to have it clean. No logo.

After all its not an BHR intake, just a shell.

People are perfectly content spending $40 for ah HKS oil cap but HKS didn't design the oil system or put oil in the car. People spend between $50 and $100 on shift ***** but those companies didn't make the transmission.

What makes this item so different?

Nothing, I just don't like logos......

Thats why a sticker is better, if the customer want to use it he can display it. If not it's clean.

Why do people debadge?

I also like mysql's idea. A satin black metal undertray with maybe the BHR log in small print off to the side somewhere...

OK. So some people love it. Some people like part of it. And some people like none of it.
That makes my life simple.
BHR will sell the item as it is.
The only options are colors and finishes on the lid. And the color of the LED's.

I can appreciate all the input on how to better a product. And maybe someday we will make some changes.
Maybe someday we'll offer just a little piece of aluminum to replace the airbox under tray. No sides, no lid. We've considered that a while ago.
Till then,,,,

Easy, (I'm talking to the community) we will all never agree on nething. That is the diversity of the 8 ppl. But, what makes us different is what attracts us to one another (no homo). Personally, I like your box set up esp with the LED choices. Put it up for sale and some of the community will buy, and the other community ppl will buy what they prefer. But, I think you will get a good amount of us wanting the box. IMO

(Unfortunatly Ren and I gatta wait until we get new 8's)
