New BHR Intake Shroud

Well here it is. Many of you saw the prototype model at SevenStock XII.

Name: SSXII060.jpg

Size: 167.0 KB

It is ready for production. First run will be 10 units. Taking pre-orders now.

The unit is designed to eliminate the stock airbox under tray in Aftermarket CAI and Turbo applications. And fill that unsightly area. No more plastic tray. Basically any intake system that fits the factory airbox area will fit into this unit.
It uses the factory rubber mounts (4) for stock bolt pattern installation.
The box is the same specs as the stock airbox. Bottom panel, Side Panels, Cover. And is open on the back (engine side).
We are working on a lid that will allow use of the stock engine cover. Mounting at the stock airbox to engine cover points to allow you to keep your engine cover on if you like that look. I know some people do.

The lower panel and side panels are one unit and will come in a Satin Black Finish.
The lid will be Satin Black also.

We do have options for the finish of the lid.
Brushed Aluminum, Piano Black, Polished. These finishes are at an additional cost.
Pretty much any type of finish you want we can do.

For those that might want to finish it themselves, it is also available in bare aluminum. At a lower cost than finished.

The lid has a 3/8" Polycarbonate Plastic insert in the Rotor shape cutout engraved with the BHR logo.
This insert will also be fit with 4 LED's, Red, Blue, Green, White. Your choice of color.
Or without Led's

These are custom made to order due to the amount of options available to you.
So if you have a look you want let us know and we can do it for you.

You know your always first in line for new BHR products Phil. I just have to make sure you have enough room under your hood. Looking at a couple of weeks for the final product.

I'll be removing it today and taking some more pics of it outside the engine bay.

Mine is a polished version painted with a candy red color. You can wax it.

nice to see the finished product! Easy had been nice enough to send me prototype pictures along the development stages and I'm glad to finally see it released.

The AEM / MS intake is a HUGE seller and a very functional intake but I always Hated the emptiness it gave that part of the engine bay. This is the perfect solution for that!

I can't wait to see it with the LED's.

I wonder if using the BHR box with the RB intake would negate any of the design characteristics that Racing Beat tried to implement with their box?

I can't even remember how the filter in the RB box was attached so not sure if it could even be fabbed for use with this box.

It's a thought. I could always get some of that Carbon Fiber Vinyl and stick it on there.

The RB intake box is not really compatible with this unit.
But the REVI Duct is. For all you short ram intake owners.

Pretty slick. Would you consider engraving anything else beside the BHR logo into the plastic?

I say custom sayings in the plexi should be an option for a nominal fee.

Something to discuss at the next BHR Board Meeting. What did you have in mind?

Looks good but doesn't really match any of the other boxes... just my .02.

That being said I'd still get one if I had an AEM.

Will it fit with a K&N V2 installed? Cuz that's where I have my LS2 coil installed and I would like to cover them up a little.

I think it would be cool to have the RX-8 logo engraved on it like the badge on the decklid
