I'am designing this exhaust for a friend who has a 8 that is mostly stock for now. Iam designing this exhaust for later mods as well.

I will be using 3'' SS tubing and either magnaflow or borla mufflers. None of this will be crush bent all welded from U-bends and what not. I will leave the cats and will use 4'' tips or just the 3'' straight w/ a lil burnt tip action.

Leaving the cats or might take off one to see how it works. LMK what ya think!

 

Sounds good! Post pics throughout the process. 4" tips? I don't believe I've seen those... maybe once. And use Borla mufflers

 

Well it will inevitably come down to pricing as far as mufflers are concerned. Yes, borla would be the first on my list. 4'' tips are what iam shooting for.
