so i got an rx8 and i blew my motor now looking for the rebuild... oh yeah... you got no idea where im going with this..

so i blew my motor and now want to swap a FD motor AND the FD transmission.. my car is AT though now so its going to be a lot to mod.


was mostly just wondering what the community thought about it. and any advice.

i also already have the motor and trans.

i did my reading. cant find anyone who did the FD trans with the swap too and also going from AT to MT at the same time

there are many threads on this, you are not special or the first person to do this

ill bite though, you need a SE: arch crossmember to make the motor fit

how come you got to be a dick with that statement? ..i dont think i classified myself as "special" unless you saw my build as being such.

the way people in the rx8 forum speak is sad, so many people have to put others down and attack others verbally for no reason.

 

Rx8 with 13b-rew and FD tranny has been done before...more than one out there.

i dont think he's even started for there to be pics

he asked for advice on the 30th, and on the 31st he said he was 75% done

RX7 Heaven in NZ say its 3weeks for them to build a 400hp REW, install and tune in a 8

(i know he has motor and trans but theres no way you can do 75% of a REW swap in a day)

 

yeah i havent gotten anywhere with my build yet... the whole reason i made this thread was for two reasons.

one. to mainly walk thru my build, and be happy with where ive gotten so far..

however when i first decided to do this build all i recieved was the crude and know it all type of posts and people who were happy to give me nothing more than doubt...

so ...

two. to see and show and prove wrong, to see and show how shitty of a "community" we really are. a forum where people are supposed to be happy to help but have there own head up there own *** so far all they seem to be able to do is talk ****.

well people ...this is my build. feel free to let the questions come, im not a POS like most of you on here. i would be happy to answer. however i dont come on here everyday anymore...

No reason to be a dick about things. That is actually a great way for people to really not care about what you do no matter how cool it might be.

The reason you get negativity when you state you are going to attempt projects like this with no proof in the beginning is that 99% of the time people are just talking about what they would like to do. If you search this forum, or any car forum for that matter, you will find TONS of "my project" posts that go nowhere at all.

 

Why is the engine not centered in the car?

 

Please don't tell me you also installed the engine on an angle?
