if i were to get just mufflers for my rx8, what would people recommend? not looking to spend 3 wallets and half, just looking for good sound coming from them and not $1000 for each. Also i know a lot of people are just gonna say get the whole exhaust system and stuff but im not wanting that cuz it wont do much for the car anyway so i just want to get the piece that the sound comes from(more or less). Please try not to ridicule me to much lol

Get the racing beat power pulse, for the streetport exhaust, its 2 1/2 and it will not restrict your exhaust, and its quiet and deep sounding too. Check it out.

I think the stock exhaust sounds nice, just too quiet for most.

Your best bargin (price, power and sound) would be from installing a catless midpipe or highflow midpipe. Much improved flow/power, it will change the sound and make it louder.

You could also look into getting a cheaper exhaust. You can get the agency power one in a thread on this forum for $700-ish shipped and that includes the midpipe as well. For an actual price you gotta talk to the guy https://www.rx8club.com/vendor-classifieds-155/rx8-agency-power-exhaust-ti-tipped-w-midpipe-181859/ post there and ask for a price shipped to your zip code. Its a 3" exhaust with nice looking tips also.

There are even cheaper exhausts to, some thread around here for ebay exhausts. I just would think that their quality might be pretty bad for the price you pay.

It depends on the tone you're looking for.
A good exhaust will cost you around 6\800$... is that in your ballpark?
I would focus on the midpipe instead of the exhaust as well, there are enough bad sounding rx8s around the world already... so many we're probably going to be the next civic duh.
