MS/AEM intake question.
i don't need any big long winded explanation or anything i was just wondering.
why, if the pipe is straight from the throttle body to the hole in the front bumper, why are their three pieces of pipe? there could be one pipe that is straight and smooth from the throttle body right to the radiator support. then a coupler that allows for flex of the motor and then the pipe that has the double bends inside the bumper to the filter.
just curious if anyone knew. thanks.
i am asking because i have a stupid short ram from SR motorsports and i was thinking about making my own MS style intake by buying the cheap intake piping from autozone and welding on some tabs to bolt to the front bumper support. of course i am planning on buying the MS intake eventually but i just got flooded out of my house and i am waiting on the landlord to fix up the house before i can move back in and alot of my tools where ruined and our rental insurance wouldn't cover flooding so i got Fucked. still want the real thing but if i can get similar results for short $$ until i can get back in and replace what was lost before i start buying non essentials... thanks guys.
