Nice welds from what I can see. Can't wait to see them installed. Is that a Mazdaspeed nameplate? Did they serial number these?

Yes, it is a Mazdaspeed name plate and the part-number as well... It is very well made and the welds are top notch, will install this weekend...

I really like that little aluminium plate with the MS logo on the brace! Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this brace goes under the car... it should help with rigidity. Can't wait to see them on the car!

...cortc, may I ask you something: the clutch line you installed, was it worth it? Did you feel any diferences with it?

good quality clutch line is great, brake line is even better!

I am stretching quite a lot on the cat, cortc! Last time I install my sway I saw a lot of scratch to the cat and the "X" on top of the cat is likely to do some real damage on the humps. So becareful or !

I am more into the autoexe one - it really depends on the weight difference. If it is more than 10kg heavier than forget it but if it is within range i will tempted to use the Auto exe as there are more metal. What is it? Once it is MazdaSpeed, you are always MazdaSpeed, right, cortc?

The clutch is stock for now, it is a good unit and should handle up to 300-350hp without a problem... Once I go past 350hp I will upgrade to something a little stronger... This shifter will not fit the FD only the RX8...

taka: The MS brace is very light weight and very strong, yes it rides low so I have to be careful but some things are worth having to be careful for...

RotorManiac: The clutch line goes in on Saturday so I will let you know and yes if you look at the picture of the instructions I posted you will see that it goes under the car and stiffens things out...

Is your garage hurricane proof? Your modified 8 needs to be tucked in safe and sound.

I'm still waiting on my clutch line, have not had a response from CZ yet. The shocks, springs, and sways go on this weekend! :p

Nemesis8: You will love the car even more with the new suspension...

I am praying the storm will go north, I was in the middle of the worst of Andrew; lost the second floor of my house at the time to that storm and don't want to go through that again... My new house is much stronger and she (The RX8...) is tucked safe in the garage, so she should be fine...

Can you believe it? I can't

I've spent 10 K in my Rx8. That is not including the supercharger or turbo I am planning to buy when it's out! That should be like 5 or 6K more!!!

Ok, just installed the shifter and will post a write up and install on a new thread... Overall very nice and it is a shorter throw and the interesting thing is it raised the shifter about 1/4"...

cortc, is the undertower brace from MazdaSpeed weigh in less than 11kg? How much does it weight do you reckon?

Coz I found out the Autoexe undertower brace weight approx 11kg

All of the MS braces did not weigh more than 5-7lbs... That is about 2.5-4kg...

All of the braces combined, or each piece individually? 2.5-4 kg is really light.

cortc, keep up the good work.

Holy crap! That's light. You figure they would be made of titanium, but they are of aluminum. Not nearly as hard, but relatively strong nonetheless. Do you know if the aluminum is age hardened, heat treated, etc.?
