midpipe ?????
Of course with 2 huge resonators on it.. there truly won't be any loudness increase at all!
All midpipes are the same in the sense that they remove a factory restriction.. resonators will tame sound levels.

i have the turboxs on mine, you WILL throw a CEL...HONESTLY when mated up the stock exhaust it isnt loud at all, a tad bit louder than stock, when i had the exhaust leak it was FREAKIN LOUND, got a gasket and plugged the leak and right away i could tell the difference in sound....not so loud
thanks for the help.... for some reason i thought it made more hp from a midpipe. does the fluid motorsports midpipe throw a cel. and i know it is going to be louder i just didnt want CRAZY LOUD.
A dead factory catpipe that has all the ceramic removed, is quite quiet.
It has a resonator, and the huge chamber that the cat occupied works as a further sound dampener.
The oem cat is also made out of thick steel, so no sound comes thru the metal, unlike a midpipe made from muffler shop scraps......

Simple physics - remove the huge restriction and it will flow better.
No amount of 'turbulence' will ever cause the same restriction as a ceramic cat.
Not saying that some Civic didn't lose h.p. after being gutted and not re-tuned, I'm talking about our huge cat and our ECU.

test pipe, midpipe, race pipe, cat delete, gutted cat - all mean the same thing. a hollow pipe, typically without the catalytic metals for emissions, from the manifold to the catback exhaust.
if they have a RESONATOR on them it cuts down on the sound depending on how effective it is at it

Figure about 6 whp gain (that is what the magazines were getting), a little less if you put a resonator (or two) on there, about the same as a high flow cat.
A midpipe/testpipe = a straight piece of pipe that goes from your header to your C Pipe.
A resonator is a sound muffling device you add to your midpipe to reduce the decibels of your exhaust wail. In the picture above, it's the 2 big can looking things.

the fluid motorsports dual resonated midpipe IS the quietest midpipe currently for sale, and the only. someone prove me otherwise.
you WILL throw a CEL there is no other way around it other than the COBB AP
you get to shoot flames

this might sound like a stupid question but whats the HP difference on the rx7store.net stainless cat midpipe and the stainless midpipe from rx7store??? i wanna know if its worth paying the extra cash for the cat midpipe??? here is a couple of links with the pipes
thanks guys

one of them is a straight pipe with no catalyst in it, you will get a CEL. buy this if you don't care for the polar bears.
the other is a "high flow CAT" it has a catalyst inside it so you won't get a CEL and you can pass emissions. buy this if you do care for the polar bears.

well remember the point of getting rid of your stock CAT (apart from the sound) is to remove the restriction in the exhaust.
the high flow cat still has a restriction but it is much less then that of the stock CAT though they tend to burn out quicker.
the straight pipe.. is exactly that.. no restriction at all and completely free flow.
for the absolute most hp gains you'd ideally get a straight pipe but that's up to you and if you're willing to find a way to pass emissions, deal with the smell, and loudness.
