You are right because it is just a fan and if it is sucking extremely hot air going in, well you get it.

But I have to say it does work and that I have gone to meets and my car will be the only one blowing cooling my car down nicely. I didn't know you had this mod...what else are you hiding. ;)

It seems that it works on street ok and temp is lower than stock. However, in track you almost see the same water temps as a stock.

you talking bout when your car is parked?

guys you can reduce temps well by adding a secondary radiator for less than $100--temps will never get over 200f( in the southeast at least)
this is the one I used

gregs 02-21-2010 04:36 PM

hey olddragger nice setup, i have been thinking about something like this but mounted the way pettit racing does theirs by cutting a hole in the lower engine shield, what do you think about that placement? i thinking about that area mostly because i have a front mount IC

Mazsport is no longer in business but another vendor sells a unit that looks very much like the Mazsport unit RaceRoots. But I have never used them, I have dealt with Summit and they are great.

i have one still on my car, it is not in use any more since i have ACCESSPORT, its just there becuase i havent changed the line back out t one piece.

I did work with cooling, noticed cause i have aftermarket temp. gauges in the car. never had any problems with dead battery problems though..

Bringing old thread back from the dead.

I just installes a used control kit on my car I bought from a forum member. My question is whats the life span of the controller that is placed in the collant line? If that sensor goes bad do the Relays still trigger the fans or will the relays not activate at all?

MazdaRX-8SPEED 08-27-2010 07:13 PM

hmm might go with both modding the fans, adding the 2 cooler and mixing water with redline water wetter. lol
